Se siete a Firenze: Arteviva al Pitti Immagine Filati
Arteviva, a craft shop specializing in
weaving is coming to Pitti Immagine Filati (Florence) with its historic wooden looms, and will
be featured in the Fashion at Work area that is dedicated to new ideas
and creativity serving the textile industries.
-
Arteviva has
been in business since 1980: Liviana Di Giusto and her young business
partner Elena Sanguankeo work on handlooms, creating new inspirations
for international firms, and strictly limited editions of artistic
tapestries, rugs, scarves, shawls and interior decorating fabrics. Each
item produced by their hands is unique in technique, form and color;
their ongoing research leads them to explore new forms that are released
from the simple, two-dimensions of the woven surface, and where the
composition becomes a mosaic of colors and materials.
During the three days of the fair, Arteviva will donate the finished piece to Pitti Filati.
